Just a quick post to explain what happened last week in regards to information on my new game called Just Double JUMP.
I think I hinted in a previous post that I’m getting married soon (on 20th April) and while that has been taking up my time lately it’s not the main reason why Just Double JUMP has been delayed. My plans to give information and upload it to gamejolt.com last weekend were thwarted by the stag do. It was spontaneously organised within a few hours a week ago today in Sheffield and I really must say hat’s off to my best man as it was a great night out and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
So, what is Just Double JUMP about? As I mentioned in the previous post, it’s a free-running platformer spin-off from You can Double JUMP where Lord Leo is chasing you with his giant laser in the sky. The goal is to get as far as you can by collecting Speed Coins so that you can out-run Lord Leo’s Laser. However, each new round brings with it an increase in laser speed and level difficulty which brings about some hairiness as your frantically trying to grab coins while avoiding oncoming hazards.
I apologise it’s a week late but here’s finally some pictures of the game:
I can’t wait to finally release a playable version on gamejolt.com tomorrow (12th April) so if your following me on Twitter @MariosKalogerou or @GemiGamesDev, you’ll know as soon as it’s live. The game is currently in an alpha stage with only the core gameplay in place but features like power-ups, leaderboards and achievements are planned.
